2015 Mid-Atlantic Cup Dual Slalom #2 & Maxxis Gravity East Series Finals!


Event Schedule:
Online Registration open now..
Register now and $ave. Reduce paperwork and time this weekend!

Fri:  venue open for riding DS & DH 12-5pm   + Online race registration still open
Sat:  8am registration & course practice  
        10:15am DS Registration closes
        11:15 am DS practice concludes
        11:30 am  Slalom Seeding Runs 
           1pm  Slalom Head to head elimination rounds
          5:30 pm Last lift for DH practice
           6pm DH course closed
          6:30 pm Slalom Awards
        
 Sun: practice 9-11am  rider meeting & racing starts immediately following
       (Registration closes by 10am Sun.) 
        10:30am last lift for practice
           11am Rider meeting & start order/ times posted
         11:30am Racing starts #1 DH timed runs

Downhill Race Course:
Trails used:  Portions of terrain park & Easy Does it.  2 Timed runs will be added together for you DH total time.

 Camping:
Some Primitive camping is available at Mike Hartlove's place
Camping is also available at the Deep Creek lake State park
Lodging:

Food and Drinks:
The Monster Energy will be by this weekend & will be providing some free beverages.  In addition...  there is a full service restaurant and bar in the lodge.

Downhill Race Course:
Trails used:  Twisted Sister (7) to Zinger (6)  [@ 1000 ft of vertical descent!]

2015 Maxxis Gravity East Series #3 at Blue Mountain THIS Weekend! + Beer, BBQ & Bourbon Festival! Details below...




Downhill Race Course:
Trails used:  Formula –OCS  -Loose Cannon -Happy Ending. 
This race course reduces course crossings to one trail and allows access the rest of the bike park during practice & the race.

Fri:  venue open for riding with paid lift ticket 12-6pm  + Online race registration still open
Sat:  registration & course practice 10am -6pm

Fri Aug 21 (Lift passes available Friday 12pm-6pm  for $30)
Sat Aug 22 10am-6pm  (Included with race registration)
Sun Aug 23 9am-6pm ( 9-11 practice)
*Hiking is permitted from sun up to sundown.
Spectator lift passes available for $5 

Number Plates:
Use your  Maxxis GES # plate.  If you do not already have one you can pick it up at registration.

 Camping:
Camping is available for $10 per person for the weekend.  Communal firewood/fire rings are provided.  After 6pm a port-a-pot is available.

There’s  a full service restaurant to the Summit Lodge.  The Slopeside Pub and Grille will be open race weekend until 11pm and has great food and a good drink selection.  During the day we’ll have food available at the mountain bike center as well.

Special Thanks to all the great people who contributed to make this event possible and a success!  That's just about everyone involved including the racers who also helped with track maintenance after the rain passed .  Things looked dicey for a bit there.  Qualifying was still a bit slick for the early ones.  Then after the bracketing  delay the sun came out and the track ended up between tacky and fast.  Made for some super racing

#1 – June 13 – Wisp, Md.*   Bike & Music Festival
#2 – Sept. 19 – Wisp, Md.  w/GES #5 Finals weekend
#3 – Oct. 17 – Frederick, Md.  Gravity Soul Fall Festival **  & MAC DS Series Final

*Short Track XC in the morning, Slalom in the afternoon, Beer, Food and Music ALL DAY!
**MAC Series Finals , double points – Gravity Soul Fall Festival and GES Awards Banquet.

GES 2015 – Downhill Race Schedule

#1 – April 26 – Massanutten Resort, Va.
#2 – May 3 – Dureya DH, Reading, Pa
#3 – August 23 – Blue Mountain, Pa.
#4 – Sept. 6 - Timberline, WV
#5 – Sept. 20 – Wisp , Md., Series Finals*

*Finals are a double points race – two-Run, combined-time format.

Saturday the 19th, Wisp will also host the 3rd round of the MAC Slalom Series. That same day just so happens to also co-inside with the Savage-Man Triathlon, which starts and ends at the resort….we expect this to provide a huge spectator draw for DH run #1 and slalom finals!
